A young patient with a left mandibular tumor underwent a hemignathectomy (including the temporomandibular structure). At the same time, an immediate restoration was made with a 3DTi Custom Made Implant (three-dimensional personalized titanium implant) which in this particular case could only be placed through intraoral incisions, which, when possible, frees the patient from unwanted scars in the neck area.
The possibility of 3D imaging and printing combined with the creation of personalized titanium implants gives us the ability to deal with difficult oncological cases.
The procedure is called 3 in 1 because it involves the removal of a tumor, the restoration with a personalized implant and at the same time the creation of an infrastructure and a reception so that the patient can put teeth after the operation.
